Can a reservation be canceled free of charge?

If the vehicle cannot be picked up in person, can someone else do it?

Only the credit card holder can sign the Lease Agreement on his own behalf and pick up the vehicle.

Can a reservation be changed or canceled?

Once you have made your reservation, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation. If you want or need to change a reservation, just choose to change or cancel the reservation. Is it obligatory to state the flight number in the reservation?

When you specify the flight number in the reservation, it allows us to see the time of your arrival and we will be able to check flight delays. Without this information, we might assume that you will not show up and rent a vehicle to another person.

Can a reserved vehicle be delivered to the hotel?

It is possible to deliver the vehicle to the hotel or to your home address. In some cases, this service is subject to a certain cost, depending on how far the hotel or home address is from the nearest branch.

If the branch is closed at the time I want to pick up the vehicle?

Is my credit card charged when renting?

When renting a vehicle, a reservation is made. The amount of the reservation depends on the class of the rented vehicle and the insurance package.

Can a cash deposit be left as a guarantee instead of a credit card?

A cash deposit cannot be left as a guarantee for possible additional charges. It happens that various parking fines, traffic violations, etc. arrive at our address 15-30 days after the vehicle is returned. In the case of a cash deposit, we have nowhere to charge such additional costs.

Does Control rent a car offer one-way rentals?

One-way rental within the borders of BiH, as well as in the region and Europe is possible with the agreement of Control rent a car agents. For an international one-way rental, a one-way fee applies, which depends on the place of return.

Is it possible to choose a specific vehicle model?

We cannot guarantee a specific vehicle model, only a specific vehicle category.

What is participation in damage?

What are additional insurance packages?

What is SCDW (Super Collision Damage Waiver)?

What is WUG (Wheels Undercarriage and Glass protection)?

How can one's own share in the damage be reduced?

Is my mileage limited?

Is there a minimum and maximum number of rental days?

The minimum rental period is 24 hours. The pick-up and drop-off times must be indicated at the time of booking. Can a Control rent a car be left in other cities or abroad?

For maximum flexibility, we have enabled the vehicle to be returned to other locations (depending on the place of return) with an individual offer.

Is it possible to choose to pick up and return the vehicle outside the working hours of the branch?

You can choose the time of picking up and returning the vehicle outside working hours at an additional cost according to the valid price list (OWT fee). The same applies to delays in returning the vehicle, with a tolerance of up to two hours.

Can anyone other than me drive the vehicle?

Yes. In that case, it is necessary to enclose the necessary documents when drafting the Vehicle Rental Agreement and for the additional driver.

What if I have a vehicle problem?

Are there any age restrictions?

That. You cannot be under the age of 21, and you must have a driver’s license issued at least two years ago.

What is a Vehicle Rental Agreement?

The Vehicle Rental Agreement is a formal Agreement signed by Control d.o.o. and vehicle users. Control d.o.o. provides the user with the use of the vehicle under the conditions specified in this Agreement.

Do I need to check the condition of the vehicle before starting the rental?

Yes. It is necessary to check the overall condition of the vehicle recorded on a special part of the Contract provided for these purposes, and if an irregularity is noticed that has not been previously marked, please report it to the agent Control d.o.o.

What documentation is required when picking up the vehicle?

When picking up the vehicle, you are obliged to present your:

  • driver’s license
  • credit card
  • passport or ID card

Can the vehicle be picked up or returned at a location other than the branch?

You can arrange the delivery or collection of the vehicle when booking the vehicle. The service is charged according to the valid price list of additional services.

When is the car rental paid?

Payment is made when picking up the vehicle.

What costs may be incurred during the rental of the vehicle that are not covered by the Control or additional insurance?

    • Loss or theft of luggage and / or personal belongings in the vehicle
    • Fines for traffic violations, improper stopping and parking, as well as parking costs
    • Costs incurred due to incorrectly refueled fuel
    • Costs for lost, stolen or damaged vehicle key

    • Costs of damage to the interior of the vehicle
    • Costs of loss of equipment (spare wheel, tire repair kit and associated tools, roller / luggage racks and vehicle documentation cases)
    • Costs of damage to accessories
    • Costs incurred due to vehicle misuse
    • Costs incurred due to non-compliance with the conditions for vehicle maintenance specified in the enclosed service book
    • Costs of damage to the vehicle incurred under the influence of alcohol or opiates
    • Costs of pulling vehicles out of inaccessible areas (eg pulling vehicles out of mud in case of non-use of first class roads)
    • Costs incurred by driving on unpaved roads
    • Costs incurred in driving races or participating vehicles in sporting events
    • Costs incurred due to overloading the vehicle with people or cargo
    • Costs for damages caused by a person who is not listed in the lease as the main or additional driver
    • Costs incurred in cases where the driver or additional driver specified in the rental agreement does not have a valid driver’s license or is prohibited from driving a motor vehicle

 

Other: damage to wipers and locks on the vehicle, theft or loss of exterior parts of the vehicle without delivery of a police record, costs of damage caused by the use of roof racks or luggage on racks, damage caused by loading or unloading cargo or luggage and dumping cargo or luggage on the roof, bonnet or similarly, as well as the costs caused by ignoring the audible and visual notifications of the vehicle.

If I have insurance with another company, does yours have to be chosen as well?

You are not obliged to take our insurance for harmful events, but in the event of a harmful event, you will be charged for the amount of damage incurred. If you have insurance through another company, through your credit card or the agency where you booked the vehicle, the participation in the damage applies depending on the vehicle category, as it is not direct insurance. When returning the vehicle, we will give you copies of the documentation of the harmful event (breathalyzer test, European report and police report if we have it at that time) so that you can refund the amount of damage charged to your insurance company.

How long does it take to unblock a deposit?

The deposit is refundable at the end of the rental. If there is no reason for additional payment (lease extension, damage to the vehicle …) it is refunded in full, and when it is charged, the difference should be automatically released. The time to return the deposit or the difference in the deposit to your account can last from 15 to 40 days, depending on the protocol of the bank that issued the credit card.

Is the vehicle full tank at pick-up?

Upon collection, the vehicle should be full and also returned. If the vehicle is not returned in full, the cost of the fuel difference will be charged to the user according to the valid price list, with a fee for the service of refueling. If the vehicle is not picked up with a full tank, the cost of the fuel difference will be charged at no additional charge for the refueling service. When picking up the vehicle, be sure to check the fuel condition.

Can a rented vehicle be used abroad?

All our users have the freedom to move a rented vehicle within Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also in other countries. The need to use the vehicle abroad should definitely be announced when booking the vehicle.

During the lease

How to extend car rental?

You can extend the lease in writing at our branch office 48 hours before the lease expires. If you are on the road you can do so in writing via email. The price of the lease extension is determined according to the valid price list

What accessories and services are available, and how are they paid for?

Can the vehicle be returned earlier than expected?

You can return the vehicle earlier than the scheduled return date and time. In that case, you will pay for the number of days the vehicle was used. Due to the difference in the calculation, there may be changes in the price of the rental day from the one stated on the reservation. If you have booked the vehicle and paid in advance to one of the intermediary agencies, contact the intermediaries directly to reduce the amount of the charge.

How to subsequently purchase additional vehicle insurance?

If you already have a Control vehicle for rent, and you later decided to buy additional insurance, come to our branch office to change the term of the contract and inspect the vehicle.

What if a mechanical failure or traffic accident occurs?

Control rent a car on-call service provides support at all times. Phone numbers are listed on the Car Rental Agreement. During the rental period, in case of an accident or breakdown, contact the emergency telephone number of the d.o.o. d.o.o.

In case of a car accident

The procedure in case of a traffic accident is as follows; a participant in a traffic accident in which someone lost his life or was injured or caused material damage to the vehicle, is obliged to:

  • remain at the scene of a traffic accident, provided that he can temporarily leave only to provide assistance to persons injured in the accident or if he himself needs medical assistance, or to inform the police,
  • to do everything in its power to eliminate new dangers that may arise at the scene of the accident and to enable the normal flow of traffic, and to try not to change the situation at the scene of the accident and to
  • preserve existing traces, provided that these measures are taken does not endanger traffic safety,
  • inform the nearest police station about the traffic accident and return to the scene of the accident and wait for the arrival of the authorized person conducting the investigation. (within BiH, the police number is 122)

When returning the vehicle

What if I'm late returning the vehicle?

Delays of up to two hours are tolerated. For longer delays, additional costs are charged according to the valid price list of Control d.o.o. in the amount at the cost of one additional day.

Do I need to return a full tank of fuel?

Yes. If you were not able to return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, the costs of the fuel refueling service will be calculated according to the valid price list of Control d.o.o.

Can I extend my car rental?

Extension of the rental of the vehicle is possible with the announcement of the extension of the rental at least 24 hours before the expiration of the rental.

Do I need to check the condition before returning the vehicle?

Yes. You will inspect the vehicle together with the Agent Control d.o.o., and report any new damage.

What are the possible additional costs?

The costs that may subsequently appear on your contract depend on you, and these are:
Refueling service: The rule is that you get the vehicle with a full tank and in that condition you need to return it, if for some reason you did not do that, we will charge you for this service, as well as the difference between taken and returned fuel.
Misdemeanors and parking fines: The lessee bears all costs of traffic violations and fines. If the lessee does not pay the costs of traffic violations and penalties during the lease, Control rent a car will bear the costs, and subsequently charge them to the lessee with additional administrative costs.
Vehicle washing service: When returning the vehicle, the vehicle should be clean, the same as when picking up the vehicle. In the event that the client returns a dirty vehicle, he will be charged for washing the vehicle, and any damage observed after washing will be charged to the client.

How to return the vehicle outside working hours?

If you return the vehicle outside working hours, it is necessary to inform the Control agent, who will come to the office at a pre-arranged time and pick up the vehicle. An additional fee is charged for this service according to the valid price list (OWT fee)

In case of vehicle damage, how and how much is it paid?

In the event that the damage you caused to the vehicle is not covered by any additional insurance, it will be charged in accordance with predefined rates and category of rented vehicle, from the deposit of funds that were reserved on your credit card when taking over the vehicle, up to the maximum the amount of the share in the damage. In addition, an administrative fee is charged for processing the harmful event according to the valid price list. Payment is made upon return of the rental vehicle. The client is obliged to present all documents handed to him by the police or another person (police report, alcohol test report) and fill in the accident statement at the vehicle return office. Control reserves the right to collect the full amount of the damage if the client acted contrary to the regulations of BiH or did not follow the prescribed procedures for reporting a harmful event. If you have adequate insurance and the necessary documentation for the type of damage you caused to the vehicle, you will not have to pay for the damage.

Can a credit card be charged after the rental?

In these General Terms and Conditions of Lease
I. “CONTROL RENT A CAR d.o.o.”
II. “Client” means a natural or legal person or organization which or on whose behalf the vehicle is rented under these rental conditions,
III. “Driver” means the natural person responsible for complying with all points of the lease agreement, approved and written on the front of the Lease Agreement with the “client”,
IV. “Additional Driver” means the natural person responsible for compliance with all items of the Lease Agreement, approved and written on the front of the Lease Agreement with the “Client”. The “Client” must ensure that each authorized driver meets the General Conditions of Lease,
V. “vehicle” means the vehicle listed on the front of the Lease Agreement.
VI. “Client, driver and additional driver” hereinafter referred to as “user”

Authorized driving

the rented vehicle can be driven only by persons over 21 years of age, who have a valid driver’s license for at least two years (2 x 365 days).

Under no circumstances may the rented vehicle drive, or use:

  • a person not listed as a user in the Lease Agreement
    for paid transport of passengers and goods
    under a contract concluded on the basis of false statements and / or personal data
  • for races, competitions, endurance tests, speed tests or driving training
    to drive or tow another vehicle or object
    a person under the influence of alcohol, sedatives, sleeping pills, barbiturates, narcotics, hallucinogens and other drugs
    while the vehicle is not in running order or is overloaded, or the passenger and baggage limit specified in the vehicle documents has not been complied with
  • off the roads of I, II and III order
  • non-compliance with the speed limit or other traffic rules determined by the law of the country in which the vehicle is driven and at a speed higher than allowed – 90 km / h for roads of the first order, 50 km / h on roads of the second. I III. order, 130 km / h on highways
  • violation of legal conditions and regulations relating to the use, loading or condition of the vehicle or for any illegal purposesThese restrictions are cumulative and each of them applies to every use, operation and driving of the rented vehicle. CONTROL rent a car is not considered responsible for any damage or loss caused by non-compliance with these restrictions by the user.

Picking up and returning a rented vehicle?

The only person authorized to dispose of the vehicle and rent it is CONTROL rent a car, and the user picks it up in the correct technical condition. The user undertakes to return the vehicle with all tires, tools and equipment specified in the Lease Agreement and Check out / check in form, in the same condition in which it was taken, except for normal natural wear, at the exact time and place listed on page 1. Lease agreement. Vehicles are rented at a daily price in accordance with the agreed tariff, where one day means any period of 24 hours from the beginning of the rental agreement. After the expiration of that time, the agreed tolerance of up to 2 hours is valid, and for all delays greater than 2 hours, and up to 24 hours, an additional rental day will be charged.

Payment of bills

The user is obliged to pay the bill when taking over the vehicle, unless it is a long-term lease where the terms of payment are specifically defined in the relevant agreement on business and technical cooperation. The amount is paid in accordance with the tariff in force at the time of signing the Contract. In case of late payment, legal default interest and reminder costs are charged. In the event that the vehicle is returned to a location other than where it was picked up, the final settlement made by the location where the vehicle was returned is subject to the approval of the location that issued the vehicle and reserves the right to send the corrected invoice. By signing this Agreement, the user agrees that, at the expense of his credit card or some other method of payment, CONTROL rent a car charges any repair, breakdown or loss costs discovered after the vehicle is returned, and the user has not notified the renter in accordance with vehicle return procedure. The user is considered responsible for all traffic violations committed during the rental. In case the user does not pay these fines, CONTROL rent a car will charge them to the user, together with administrative costs. CONTROL rent a car reserves the right to charge the above costs without prior notice to the renter. State taxes, fees, etc. will be charged in accordance with applicable legislation. By signing this contract, the user implies that. accepts that the taxpayers are responsible for paying all items of this lease:

  • tenant / client
  • driver – in case the renter refuses to pay in full or in part the obligation under this car rental agreement
  • additional driver – in case the renter or driver refuses to pay in full or in part the obligation under this car rental agreement

Lease extension

In case the user needs a vehicle longer than the agreed rental time, the user is obliged to obtain the written consent of CONTROL rent a car at least 24 hours before the end of the rental. In case of non-fulfillment of this condition, it is considered that the user has illegally appropriated the vehicle. In this case, CONTROL rent a car reserves the right to use all legal measures to confiscate the vehicle in question from the user. In the event that the user returns the vehicle after the date specified when concluding the rental agreement, and during the rental there was a change in prices, new prices will be charged from the day of the planned return of the vehicle.

Mileage

There is no mileage limit, except for specially agreed long-term car rental agreements. The number of kilometers while the vehicle is in the lease agreed in this Lease Agreement will be determined by reading the factory-installed odometer.

Fuel

All vehicles are rented with a full tank of fuel. If the vehicle is rented to the user, he is considered responsible for the cost of fuel from the time the vehicle leaves the branch to the time when the vehicle returns to the CONTROL rent a car branch. CONTROL rent a car reserves the right to charge for the refueling service according to the decision of the Management Board.

Vehicle maintenance

The user agrees to maintain the vehicle in good condition and regularly check the engine and engine oil and automatic transmission, if any in the rented vehicle, as well as the water in the radiator, battery and tire pressure. The user is considered responsible for settling all damages caused by insufficient maintenance of the vehicle. In the event that the rented vehicle during the rental reaches the mileage at which regular service is provided, the user must notify CONTROL rent a car and make the vehicle available in order to be able to perform service. CONTROL rent a car makes a replacement vehicle available to the user if the vehicle service exceeds 12 hours.

Malfunctions

Repairs or replacements of vehicle parts must only be carried out by an authorized repairer with the prior written approval of CONTROL rent a car. Reimbursement is made upon presentation of the invoice of the authorized workshop that performed the repair, however, replacement parts must be presented. In the event that the repair is performed outside an authorized workshop and spare parts are not presented, the costs will not be reimbursed. In the event that any part of the vehicle is replaced or lost, compensation will be charged in the amount of three times the market price of that part.

Documents

All vehicles are rented with the necessary documents. The user is held responsible for the specified documents which he is obliged to carry with him together with the vehicle keys and not to leave in the vehicle. In case the tenant loses documents, keys, license plates, etc. the user will bear the costs of making new ones at the prices defined by the price list.

Vehicle insurance and participation in damage

Fire and theft

The user assumes responsibility for any loss or damage to the vehicle caused by negligence or in the event that the user has in any way ignored the conditions specified in the contract. Avoidance of liability for the entire value of the vehicle is obtained by the user by paying a daily allowance for each 24 hours of use of the vehicle in advance, according to the valid price list, and thus bears the responsibility up to the amount of the contractual deductible. The amount of the deductible deductible depends on the group of vehicles.

Damage

Any damage must be reported immediately to the nearest police station and CONTROL rent a car office that rented the vehicle and the user undertakes not to drive while the vehicle is in a state of immobility. Report – a special form, which is with the documents of the vehicle, and its statement of damage must be completed with all the details of the accident (damage) and must submit it to the branch that rented the vehicle. The user is obliged to cooperate in the investigation and processing of the accident. The user is considered responsible for all costs if the conditions from this article have not been complied with. If necessary, the user will receive a replacement vehicle.

In case of vehicle breakdown abroad, the user is obliged to contact the branch office for repair. Control rent a car will refund the cost of the repair upon presentation of the original invoice of the authorized service and the part of the vehicle that has been replaced. When crossing the state border, the user is obliged to present the invoice to the customs officer for certification.

Loss of property

CONTROL rent a car se ne smatra odgovornim za štetu ili gubitak imovine korisnika ili imovinu ostalih osoba, pohranjenu ili prevoženu u ili na iznajmljenom vozilu, servisnom vozilu ili poslovnim prostorijama CONTROL rent a car-a. Changes to the Lease Agreement

No condition and provision of this agreement may be changed or rejected without the written consent of CONTROL rent a car.

Violation of the Lease Agreement

All CONTROL rent a car employees have the right to inspect any vehicle at any time. If the user is found to have violated any of the terms of this Agreement, employees are authorized to exempt the vehicle. CONTROL rent a car unconditionally reserves the right to terminate the lease agreement, anytime and anywhere and before the expiration of the lease agreement, without any obligation to compensate the user.

Important

Even after the end of the lease, the user is considered responsible for traffic violations committed during the lease.

In these conditions CONTROL rent a car is defined as CTRL d.o.o. with its headquarters in Banja Luka, I Krajiškog korpusa 88, JIB: 4403702340006, for the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and whose main activity is vehicle rental.

Contract signer

By signing, the user unconditionally accepts the standard conditions, and guarantees the accuracy of all the above data and accepts the jurisdiction of the court in Banja Luka in case of a court dispute.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation of your reservation should be made in writing, fax or email at least 24 hours prior to the start of your rental. Please note that telephone cancellations will not be accepted

Cancellation Administration Charge
If a reservation is not collected or not cancelled in advance of the start time then Control car rental will levy a charge.
For pay on arrival reservations made online, the no-show/cancellation fee will equal pre-paid deposit. No refund will be due.
For fully pre-paid reservations made online, the amount due for no-show/cancellation’s will be calculated in line with the below:

7 or more days before start date: €15* (*Depending on currency used)
3-6 days before start date: 50%
2 days before start date: 75%
0-1 days before start date: 100%

The notice period is based on a day being a 24 hour period, up to the start time, not a calendar day.
